How did the words ok and viz originate
While no ones sure of the origin of ok , there are a handful of popular explanations. One view is that it derives from the Scot expression och aye , the Greek ola kala (it is good), Choctaw Indian oke or okeh (it is so), French aux Cayes (from Cayes, a port in Haiti with a reputation for good rum) or au quai (to the quay, French), or the initials of a railway freight agent called Obediah Kelly, who wrote them on documents he checked. The oldest written references to OK are its adoption as a slogan by the Democratic Party during the American Presidential election of 1840. Their candidate, President Martin Van Buren, was nicknamed Old Kinderhook (his birthplace ) and his supporters formed the OK Club , thus popularizing the term. Viz is an abbreviation of Videlicet from Latin, meaning that is to say, namely etc. Viz. is believed to have originated in 1540.
What is en passant capture in chess
En passant capture is a special type of move with which pawns can take other pawns, under specific rules. A player moves his pawn two squares, from his second row to his fourth row. There is a pawn of the opponent that can capture the squares passed over by the pawn. In that case, this pawn of the opponent has the right to capture en passant in the directly following move. To capture en passant, the opponents pawn goes to the square passed over by the pawn, thus moving diagonally forwards.

For what does the US Navy use sea lions
The US Navy is considering a programme that would deploy California sea lions to detect terrorists or other intruders swimming on the surface or underwater toward ships, submarines and other critical assets located at sensitive naval bases. The sea lions would be used, in conjunction with human security patrol teams.
